Piston Cup Racer Super Cars Fanatic Posts: 104 02/10/08 15:13:01	Tags : None just left wm and the cars cube is back. full of three packs(no gold twins), minis of sarge and filmore, and tons of singles. ro tom, mninchuck, tow, mater. no pcguido or dudley spare. if you don't have these, get to ur wm. I live in central pa. good luck Below are a few pics of teh new wm cube. Nothing new yet this year except a few more 3 packs and mini's which are all the same. 9 pegs still filled with Ramones only. The old geezer stock boy is a dink and wont answer any questions. My new goal in life is to have him moved of fired. Preferably the first of the two Proud owner of: 1970 Karmann Ghia, 1974 Super Beetle, 2006 Golf TDI * London & Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Posts: 2353 02/11/08 06:12:27 SUPER CARS FANATIC	AWESOME!!!! I've got to go to my sons' school today for Day 1 of Parent Week, so I'll swing by a WM up there to see if they've put these out yet. I've got a Tow coming to me from a WONDERFUL board member, but maybe I'll be able to pick up a Not Chuck? I hope so. I still haven't seen anything newer than Tom and PC Guido--but that's been a month ago, and I only saw them once. Luckily, another AWESOME board member got me the other set that I needed.

Posts: 2354 02/11/08 09:01:31 SUPER CARS FANATIC	I stopped by two different WMs while I was on my way back from Day 1 of Parent Week at the boys' school. (I feel sorry for those teachers! We had "breakfast" with our children--Krispy Kreme Donuts and milk for the kids or coffee for the adults. This is not going to be a good day for the teachers, I can assure you!) Anyway, one didn't know a thing about this, the other was VERY VERY helpful. I talked to the toy dept manager, and she gave me the inside scoop on this cube. It's a Hotspot set for Friday, Feb 15. She said that, if other WMs have put theirs out, they can get in BIG trouble. But anyway... She showed me where hers would be (slot One in the main aisle by the toys), and should be up there roughly midnight to one a.m. Thursday night/Friday morning. Right now, slots One - Three are taken up by a huge Valentine's display of stuffed animals. She said that those will most likely be clearanced out and moved late Thursday night/early Friday morning (11:00pm Thursday night, if she has anything to say about it, but she doesn't because, even though they are stuffed animals, she has no say in dealing with them as they're not a part of the toy deparment--they're a part of the Seasonal section). Also, for those of you who are also into Littlest Pet Shop, they have a Hotspot going in at the same time into slot Two, and Hotwheels has a playset cube for slot Three. I also noticed something else while I was waiting on the manager to get all the information for me--if you're into the Marvel diecast cars, there's a Spider-Man playset that is supposed to have a Spider-Man car and a Green Goblin car in it, along with a track. Out of the five sets this WM had, two of them didn't have the Green Goblin car in it--it had two Spider-Man cars in it. And the box didn't appear to have been opened at any time. I would have bought one, but I need another playset like I need another hole in my head. Well, unless Cars comes out with another one. I'll have to get that one. Speaking of errors--for all you Star Wars collectors out there, the new Droid Factory Capture Battle Pack is out. It contains a C-3PO with Battle Droid head (his regular head is in there, too! Just not on the figure.), a flying R2, a Droideka, an Anakin, and a Jango Fett. While I know this is no big deal, I thought the one I found was rather cool. Why? Because this WM must be the Error Capital of Toys in Oklahoma City right now. The Droideka did not have a head on him--and it wasn't in the box, nor was the box opened. While it technically could be in a place that is covered by the cardboard parts of the box, I didn't hear anything rattling around in it when I shook the box. They did have one that the whole thing was there, too. I just thought it was cool. Oh! Speaking of Star Wars (and yes, I realize I'm WAAAYYYY off topic here, but I'll bring it back to Cars in a second), they had new Star Wars Legos that had the Clone Wars logo on it. Well, specifically, the only new one that had the Clone Wars logo on it was Anakin's Jedi Starfighter, but they had other new ones I hadn't seen before. They had the Imperial Dropship, AT-AP Walker (LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!), and the Rebel Scout Speeder. Back to Cars: While the manager couldn't give me anything off the cube (they're under strict orders to NOT do that--they have been having a hard time with scalpers, so they can't open anything that's in the back and bring out part of it), she did say that she saw several Tows and Not Chucks, as well as some three-packs with the Gold Mia and Tias in it. I must say, this WM dept manager really knows her stuff! She's awesome, and is usually willing to help me whenever I see her. She told me that she'll tell me stuff, because she knows that I'm not a scalper, that I only buy two of each item--unless I need three so that my Dad can have one--and that she thinks I'm a fairly honest person. Made me feel good, and so she has definitely won my loyalty to her store! So, I'll be there with bells on early Friday morning to pick up the rest of what I need (one Tow, two Not Chucks, and two sets with gold Mia and Tia--assuming they're still there!). Cool news about the Hotwheels too! There are a few of those I wouldn't mind picking up either! It's great that you have someone at your WM that is willing to give you all that info! The WM that I go to is hit or miss. Some of the staff will help out while others will run in the opposite direction when they see you coming! Again.....thanks for the heads up!

NO floor display but definately a stock on the shelves equal to what is in those displays. All the new minis, NOt Chuck, and the 3 packs everywhere. The playsets and shake and gos had their own end cap, while the minis picked up 10 pegs. My guess is MY WM opted for the stock instead of the display???? I say that because I asked a stocker if she had seen the display yet and she said no just what's on the shelves.... My wife is swinging in today to see if they do in fact have the Gold Mia and Tias....(there was at least 50 3-packs but I forgot to go through for the mia and tias....) Very interesting!!! It's exactly the layout at all of my WM and you'll notice the area is 3 tall and much bigger than the MM next to it. If you really want proof, just look at the SKU on the planogram. If I'm not mistaken, it's the same number on the case and you should be able to easily verify if you see one. Anyway... I'm not surprised by any more case changes. It's the same thing we've been accustomed to over the years and if you'll remember, we were all VERY surprised when these lists came out that they were going to release SO MANY of them over the spring and summer. Reality check is that they've never been this aggressive at new releases and given the fact that we know the Piston Cup Racers in the Speedway of the South set is on it's way, they don't have much room to build a ton of other models. For me, the temp gauge is with sz_hotdog. If you don't see any new models from him, it's likely that they aren't on their way anytime soon!

Piston Cup Racer Cars Fanatic Posts: 24 02/12/08 08:32:24	well i work at walmart and according to the label it's a 2nd week of feb feature...which means...it should go out in the beginning of the 2nd week in feb. i worked the toy department and to be honest..she's wrong. my department manager put it out on monday because she doesn't work weekends. so...technically sales/features should be put out saturday @ midnight...technically making it sunday morning. if you look at the wal-mart sale ads...they run sunday morning to the end of the week...making that saturday. also, all wal-marts get the same in the cubes...so no gold mia & tias in my cube = no gold mia & tias in your cube. sadly . hate to share the news...atleast you'll still get the cars though. i got mine yesterday morning and i went into work lastnight and all that were left were WOC Snot Rod, Dinoco Chick, Old School Ramone and others...everything else was gone. well minus the mini's and 3 pks. good luck!!
