I set up a trade with Brandon Miller B2Cobra in April of '09. Little did I know that 5 months later I would have to
threaten him with filing federal mail fraud charges to get him to give me fair reimbursement for the property he took after I discovered he was selling my
things on Ebay.
In April, I sent him an N2O Cola, Faux Wheel Drive, and Dinoco 400 set. In return he was going to trade me a couple of custom pitties an SDCC Mcqueen, Kathy Copter, Red Wheels Doc, and White Wheels FHH. These were supposed to be birthday gifts for my son in August. Months went by and I sent him an occasional message asking him how the custom jobs were coming along
These quotes are from Brandon's messages:
May 12th:
"I have the bodies of the pitties painted and should be applying the decals as soon as the paint "gases" out. When is your son's birthday? "
May 17th:
"Just wanted to let you know that I just about have both pitties finished up. Got busy the past few days. Also working on another car for your son for his birthday. Consider it a bonus."
June 30th:
"Yours should be going out this week assuming my one last paint job goes well."
August 3rd:
"They will be done. But remind me what the other cars were."
August 27th (the week of my son's birthday):
"I'll get the customs finished up this weekend and get everything sent off Monday."
Around the middle of September, Brandon posted that he decided to get out of the Cars collecting hobby and announced that he would be selling off a large part of his collection as well as his drive in website. At this point I had enough, and I wanted my cars back. I asked him to send my cars along with a tracking number. Here is our exchange from September 20th to September 21st.
Me:
Hey Brandon, did you send out my cars this weekend? Let me know. Please provide the tracking number
B2Cobra:
Yes I did. Will send tracking number when I get home.
Me:
Hi Brandon. Still waiting on that tracking number. What day did you send the package? You never told me.
Brandon decided to stop responding to my messages. I sent him one a day with no response even though I could see that he had signed in and commented on the forums. On September 26th, I was notified that he was selling off his collection along with the cars that he told me were in the mail a week earlier. I finally received a response from him and a dollar value refund for my cars when I messaged him with my intentions to file felony mail fraud charges. He paid within 2 hours. Not bad seeing as he ignored my messages for over a week.
This isn't a simple matter of oops I screwed up. He was trying to get away with pure theft. I asked him to send back my Cars. He lied to me and told me he already sent them, and then he put them on Ebay. This was the whopper among many small lies during this trade. I have never dealt with a more dishonest person. As always trade at your own risk, but exercise extra caution when dealing with Brandon Miller (B2Cobra)
What a shame.
