First Laps Cars Fan Posts: 3 11/02/09 07:08:46	I contacted 2 Target stores in my area with the DCPI code on Sat. night for the Holiday Pack. The system showed 4 in stock, asked to hold one back and I would be in to pick up. Was told by both stores they couldn't do that. Would have to wait until store reset, check back in two weeks! Yesterday, DCPI code in hand, went to both stores, system said 'zero' in stock. Obviously they sold them after I was told they couldn't do it. Can't say I was a happy camper!

They all said they are not even in the system. Neither Target I went to had them yet... the associate at the second one was very helpful... she found it at another store 25 miles away... but by then it was late and I didn't think I could get there before they closed, and I wasn't looking forward to driving 110 miles to get home... My wife "forgot" to go to the Muncie (IN) Target before they closed... so I've got to wait longer. I wish we had a Target in our area.... ours closed 10 years ago, and I don't see them returning.

The Target associate told us that the pallets were up high, and are going in the Seasonal section for the reset. So like the Target Easter Eggs were in the Easter section, you should look for the Mater Saves Christmas sets in the Seasonal Section for Christmas. Thats the info I got. Posts: 3385 11/04/09 09:27:15 SUPER CARS FANATIC	I wonder if Zellers (in Canada) would be getting this Christmas set....if I'm not mistakened, Zellers is a sister store to Target (?).....a couple years ago, Target had a Littlest pet Shop exclusive set, and our Zellers eventually got....two years later, our Sears got them in as well.....just being hopeful I guess~ I so want this set! Our Real Canadian Superstore has the Mater Saves Christmas Hardcover book $16.50!

Piston Cup Racer Super Cars Fanatic Posts: 333 11/04/09 14:12:03	Went to 1 Target today and asked at Customer Service with the DCPI number. They had four in stock. So I asked if they could get 2 for me. The guy on the radio said they were on a pallet and were not unloaded yet and he wouldn't get them because it would take him a while to find them. He said they should be out on the floor early next week. So, then I downloaded the Target Store app for my iPhone. Searched with the DCPI number and found the next closest store had them available. Called them up and they said they had 8. Asked for 2 to be pulled and left for me at the Customer Service desk. Got there and they had them for me ready to go. They are really nice looking sets for sure. While there I remembered to look for the book as well. Found a guy in the aisles and he looked it up. Said they had 1 book in the DVD/Entertainment area. We went and looked, but it wasnt there. So I went back to the store that wouldn't pull the set for me and found the book. So, these will be nice for Christmas for my son. But even when the store doesn't have it, they will always give you alist of available stock at nearby stores. When the final lap came out I got a case, and went back to this very same target to get the christmas set and picked it up at the Customer Service desk. If you have the luxury of several Targets in your area, get to know the ones that are helpful to customers. The one near the freeway is avoided by me at all costs. They have too many customers to be helpful. The ones away from the freeways seem to relish return business, and those are the ones I frequent.
