No doubt we have seen cars slated to be made that have not been released to retail. So i took the Kmart weekly ad to TRU and returned my sarge's Boot Camp to get the 5 dollar discount (heck of a deal now at 24.99) and the free book bag.

First, no price match. Since when does TRU not price match a Kmart ad from across the street? I was hoping to get a third set for free :(

Second, why are all these Boot Camp cars so poorly put together. Out of 8 sets, I was lucky to find two that were ok :(

Third, no free book bag. If you buy $25+ of Disney...

Problems at the customs

Today I wanted to fetch up a package with cars from the customs here in Germany. They kept it. They told me that they cannot give me the package, because Disney gave an order to send all cars related stuff directly to them so that they can check out whether it is original or a fake. They are doing this because a lot of fakes appeared in the last weeks. We now have to wait for our stuff another 2-3 weeks until it comes back from Disney. I do not know if this is only happening in Germany or all...

LOOKS - I am am really starting to hate them :P

Well, I went to TRU today and saw that they CHANGED the packaging to the new Final Lap coloring AND the EYES are way better! The 2 sets I made for my boys is now going down to 1 set. Wow, I sometimes hate the marketing peeps at Mattel!! If anyone is interested in basically a complete set of looks minus Kathy, Darrel, and Leakless let me know via PM. I have the new Tex and Green Ramone in there as well. I did not know if this is a general post or sale post since I started it as a rant. Sorry...

Don't know if anyone's seen this, but I found a Fiber Fuel Lightyear Launcher at TRU in Canada.

This is the first TRU Canada has seen of any Lightyear Launchers. They also had MQ, Clutch Aid, Shifty Drug and plenty of Vitolines.

And I know some of you will get defensive, or say "then just don't buy them", but isn't the asking price for the new storytellers ($6.49 + tax) a bit steep for one car? Is Target only expecting collectors to buy them? If so, that's what I call big middle finger waved right in their customers faces. I'm waiting until they mark them down, AND they will mark them down eventually. Screw you Target, your logo may be a big red bullseye, but I'm not going to let you...

1st Christmas Cars Error

Looking for good track set for Cars

Does anyone know of a good track set that is compatible with the Mattel Cars? I used to love playing with my orange Hotwheels track when I was a kid, and I'd love to get something like that for my kids. Unfortunately, the Cars are just a little too big for the Hotwheels track. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
